Arbitrary Color

Arbitrary Color is defined as the use of color that does not have realistic or natural relation to the object that is depicted, however the use of color may have an emotional or expressive significance. I chose to do a painting by artist Pierre Bonnard; the painting is called "Autumn, Fruit Harvest". A few things about the painting caught my attention. Firstly the free in the back is red and shadowed. All the other trees are colorful and fall like. Another things that caught my attention was the color of the people and horse carriage. The people are mostly white and barley noticed, yet the trees and plants are colorful and vibrant.
